fa «خنجر، خود در جست‌وجوی چیز دیگری است»* بررسی خنجر‌های با حفاظِ دستۀ هلالی از میانۀ هزارۀ دوم تا سده‌های نخستین هزارۀ اول پیش از میلاد <div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:IRANsans;">این نوشتار می‌کوشد با تمرکز بر حفاظِ هلالی‌شکل گونه‌ای از خنجرها و تغییر کارکرد این بخش در گذر زمان، تصویری جامع از حضور این گونه و نحوۀ تغییر شکل آن به دست دهد. قدیمی‌ترین نمونه‌های این گونه اغلب متعلق به نیمۀ هزارۀ دوم پ.م. هستند و بیشتر در دشت خوزستان یافت شده‌اند. با ورود به رُبع پایانی هزارۀ دوم پ.م، با ظهور تغییراتی در شکل و کارکرد حفاظِ هلالی‌شکل، بر تعداد این خنجرها افزوده می‌شود و در غرب و شمال فلات ایران گسترش می‌یابند. این گونه در آخرین دورۀ حضور خود در سده‌های نخستین هزارۀ اول پ.م و هم‌زمان با استفاده از فلز آهن در ساخت تیغه، دوباره تغییراتی را در کاربری حفاظِ هلالی‌شکل خود پیدا می‌کنند. این نوشتار به بررسی دلایل تغییر در کاربری بخش هلالی‌شکلِ این خنجرها می‌پردازد و می‌کوشد این تغییرات را با تکیه بر مفهوم سَبک و رابطۀ آن با کارکرد توضیح دهد. در پایان، گسترش زمانی و مکانی این گونه مورد بحث قرار می‌گیرد و کوشیده می‌شود الگویی معنی‌دار از این پراکنش ترسیم شود.</span></div> <div style="text-align: justify;">The crescent-shaped guard daggers are known in Iran from the middle of the 2nd millennium to the first centuries of the 1st millennium BCE. They first appeared in the mid-2nd millennium and have mostly been discovered from Elamite sites in the Khuzestan Plain. Their presence continued through the last quarter of the 2nd millennium and expanded over a wide geographical area, from north and northwest of the Iranian Plateau to the south of the Persian Gulf. By the first centuries of the 1st millennium, the geographical extent of the daggers was again limited, this time chiefly to northwest Iran.<br> The guard on these daggers alternate between a functional and non-functional attribute through time.
